Creating movies whether film or digital requires more than knowing how to turn on a camera or hit record.  What creates the difference between what you see in theaters and what you see on someone's home video camera?  Its not as much about quality of camera gear as most people would like to think.  Its about the craft that goes into creating a movie.  What this website offers is lessons in becoming a film maker, a visual story teller who uses a myriad of techniques to bring his/her audience into experiencing a story; to connect with its characters, to feel their emotions, to be pulled out of the reality of sitting in a theater and be put into the fiction of the movie, your movie.


To use this website to your full advantage, proceed through the tabs in order.  Watch all of the video examples, they speak more than words.  And when presented with an exercise, stop and go out and do it.  You will learn more from attempting to make movies than you will from just reading about it.
